🌞 My Simple Morning Rituals for a Healthier, Calmer Day

Mornings used to feel chaotic—especially with little ones in the mix. But carving out even 15–30 minutes for myself before the day fully kicks off has been a game-changer for my energy, mood, and mindset.

Here’s a gentle, realistic morning ritual I’ve built that supports my wellness (and sanity!), with a few easy habits that really do make a difference.

1. Wake-Up Hydration 💧

Before coffee, before screens—water first. I keep a big glass or my favourite motivational water bottle on my bedside table (this is such a great water bottle and keeps your water cold!) and drink it before even leaving the room. Sometimes I add lemon or a pinch of sea salt if I’m feeling dehydrated.

You could also try adding an electrolyte powder like Bulk Powders Unflavoured —especially helpful if you’re breastfeeding, active, or just feeling sluggish in the heat.

2. Morning Greens or Collagen 🌿

I love starting the day with a nourishing supplement I don’t have to overthink. Lately I’ve been rotating between:

  • AG1 Greens - (My all time FAVE) A clean, organic greens powder with spirulina and chlorella.

Or..

Quick, easy, no mess—exactly what I need in the mornings.

3. Five Minutes of Movement 🤸♀️

Whether it’s a few yoga stretches, a quick spin on the bike, or some air squats while the kettle’s boiling—getting any movement in makes me feel more human.

I keep a non-slip yoga mat and resistance bands set rolled up in the corner so there are no excuses. Even five minutes helps shift my mindset.

4. Mind Space for a Calmer Start 🧘♀️

Some mornings I journal for five minutes using a guided journal like “The Five Minute Journal”, or I listen to a 5–10 min meditation on YouTube.

This tiny bit of quiet helps me feel more grounded and less reactive when the day starts rolling.

5. A Nourishing, No-Stress Breakfast 🍓

When I prep it ahead, I actually look forward to breakfast. My go-tos:

Batch prepping 2–3 jars on a Sunday makes weekday mornings so much easier.

Final Thoughts

My morning ritual isn’t perfect or fancy—but it works. Whether it’s a scoop of greens, a stretch, or a quiet moment with a warm drink, it helps me feel like I’ve done something for myself before giving to everyone else.

Start small. Try one new thing this week. You deserve a morning that supports you too.
